CorelDRAW, a vector-based graphic design program, lets you create not only logos and other graphics, but also Microsoft PowerPoint-like presentations. Once the CorelDRAW show files are created, you can print them, email them and even save them as Portable Document Format (PDF) files. If you're sending a CorelDRAW show file to someone who has PowerPoint but not CorelDRAW, you have to convert the CorelDRAW show first, then send it. The conversion process is done through CorelDRAW; no third-party application is needed.
Step 1
Step 2
Click 'File,' then 'Open.' Navigate to the directory containing the CorelDRAW show file you would like to convert. Double-click on the file's name to open it.
Step 3
Step 4
Click 'File' and go to 'Save As.' Navigate to a directory to save the converted file in.
Step 5
Click on the down arrow next to the wording 'File Type.' Select 'PowerPoint 95 Presentation.'
Step 6
Enter a name for the CorelDRAW show file or keep the file name present in the 'File Name' box.
Click 'Save.' The CorelDRAW show file will convert automatically to the PowerPoint format.
Tips
- Once converted, the CorelDRAW show file can be opened with Microsoft PowerPoint 95 or any higher version.
- Some fidelity and design elements---system-specific colors, animation effects, gradients and text on a path---may be lost when the conversion takes place.
